SOCCER REGISTRATION 2008
Dumont Soccer League Registration Fall 2008 – You can sign-up on line at www.dumontsoccerleague.org . In person sign–up dates Saturday May 17, and June 14, from 10am to 2 pm. Location is the soccer hut, 70 Charles Street, Memorial park. All Dumont residents born between 12/31/03 and 8/1/93 are eligible. First time players must provide a birth certificate. The cost is $60 for the first child and $55 for each additional child. If registration occurs after June 15th, the soccer league may put your child on a “wait list.” A $20 late fee will also be assessed after that date. Visit our web site for additional information. Dumont Recreation Summer Camp Information Sheet
June 23rd through August 1, 2008
Location of camp is Memorial Park located on
Pershing Street
Camp Times: 9-1 daily
Bring your child to Memorial Park 9:00 AM. Pick up at Memorial Park 1:00 PM SHARP. Child will be released to parent/guardian. If you need to take your child home earlier from camp, please go directly to the Recreation Hut to sign child out. If your child is walking home from camp or you are having someone other than yourself pick up your child, a note must be handed in to the Recreation Hut.
Pool Days
Mondays 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, and 7/28 are pool days, bring child directly to Dumont Swim Club 9:00 AM Pick up at Dumont Swim Club at 12:00 PM SHARP. Please remember that camp is going on at Memorial Park on swim days should your child not wish to participate in pool days. There are no floatation devices allowed at the pool. Children must be able to swim if they are to use the big pool.
Camp Trips
Outside camp activity trips are age specified. The trips are optional. All buses leave and return from Memorial Park during the regularly scheduled camp hours.
Dress Code
Each camper is required to wear their Orange Summer Recreation T-Shirt, Shorts or pants and sneakers daily. Children will have access to water sprinklers on hot days.
Rain Days
Camp is canceled for inclement weather. If the rain starts during the camp, parent/guardians are to come to the camp to pick up their child/children.

Snacks
Please send child with a snack and drink. Ice cream is offered for sale at the camp. Cost is $1.00 and you may set up a bank account at the Recreation Hut for your child rather than send in cash daily.
DO NOT send child to camp with valuables. We will not be responsible for any lost items.

*Tie Dye Information:
On designated days the campers are to bring a WHITE (prewashed) T-shirt to camp with them. Please mark name (with fabric marker) in collar of shirt. Shirt should be in a zip lock bag clearly marked with child's name.
We will be sending camper home with dyed shirt in their plastic bag. Leave the shirt in bag wet for 48-72 hrs then remove shirt and wash in COLD water, this will set the colors.
If a child is out on the day that their group is designated to make their shirts, they can join in with the next group scheduled.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 2008
The Dumont Board of Recreation Commissioners & Mayor & Council would like to welcome all residents to paraticipate in the planning and operation of the upcoming 2008 Memorial Day Parade.
The parade takes place on Monday, May 26th at 10am. The parade takes many hours and hands to plan and execute and there is always room for more volulnteers from our community. Recreation Program
REFUND POLICY
A request for refund due to personal reasons must be made in Writing 5 business days BEFORE the program begins. Refunds will NOT be issued once the program starts.
There will be NO cash refunds. Refunds will be by city check and paid according to the Recreation Department's bill-paying schedule through the mail.
Recreation PHOTO POLICY
Please be advised that all participants involved in any recreation program or special event are subject to being photographed. Such photographs may be used by the Borough of Dumont without any obligation to provide compensation to those photographed.
