Carl Manna currently serves as councilman in the Borough of Dumont, where he has successfully spearheaded government reforms, streamlining services and increasing accountability. Carl and his wife, Catherine, raised their three children in Dumont and have called the Borough home for over thirty years.
After years of fiscal mismanagement left Dumont in near-financial ruin, Carl successfully led a massive restructuring of the Borough’s finances. Carl streamlined the borough’s day-to-day operations, implementing critical guidelines, eliminating cronyism and promoting the hiring of qualified professionals. Carl is committed to raising the quality of services available to Borough residents while minimizing the tax burden on Borough residents.
As Councilman, Carl is the liaison to the Library and Department of Public Works, working to secure funds to rehabilitate the library and make it the cultural center of Dumont.
Carl also serves on the Mayor’s Advisory Board and several committees dedicated to strengthening Dumont’s relationship with both the business community and religious leaders.
Last year, Carl retired from the New York Stock Exchange after working there for forty years. For five of those years Carl served as Director of Market Operations on the trading floor. Carl is using his business expertise to bring fiscal responsibility back to Dumont, create good paying jobs, and clean up Borough government.
